Extralite HyperGrips pair of ultralight grips made of EVA Foam. With a weight of only 7 gr. for the pair (11 gr. including the end caps) they are the lightest grips in the world and allow a considerable weight saving compared to traditional rubber grips and also compared to silicone ones. The material with which they are made is very soft, has got a great ability to absorb impacts and dampen vibrations and guarantees an excellent grip at the same time, it's also waterproof. The particular anatomical semi-hexagon shape helps to increase the excellent general comfort. Extralite HyperGrips pair of ultralight grips made of EVA Foam, a material with a superior ability to absorb shocks and dampen vibrations, therefore able to offer superior comfort and excellent grip. Eva is used for biker protections and is also waterproof, so it does not soak in water or sweat.
The HypeGrips grips have a width of 130 mm and are suitable for classic MTB handlebars with an external diameter in the grip area of 22 mm. The particular anatomical shape has been designed to provide the best compromise between comfort and grip, the semi-hexagonal part complies with the anatomy of the hand and in particular the 3 phalanges of the fingers, while the semi-round part with higher material thickness allows greater comfort where the palm of the hands rests.
HyperGrips grips weigh only 7 grams per pair (11 grams including the end caps supplied) so they're the lightest in the world and allow a significant weight saving compared to traditional rubber grips (which sometimes weigh up to 100 grams per pair or a little less) and also compared to silicone ones (which weigh an average of 50-60 grams per pair).
Saving weight on the grips is really the smartest solution as with a minimum investment you have the maximum yield, moreover saving weight on a peripheral located so high and at the ends of a bicycle brings further benefits; it helps to lower the general center of gravity of the bicycle (thus improving the qualities of driveability, stability and handling) and it helps to reduce the pendulum effect during pedaling, i.e. the classic lateral oscillatory movement and the rotations of the handlebar in steering and control they will be subject to a lower mass with consequent less energy dispersion. These are small details and subtleties that must not escape an attentive and passionate biker!
The Extralite HyperGrips grips are available in white or red color with the elegantly engraved Extralite logo.
