Extralite LeftyLite Lefty head tube is a clever solution that allows to install standard 1.1/8" stems on Lefty forks. In these way you can choose you preferred stem, lighter or with a different inclination/lenght to obtain the perfect setup.
Extralite LeftyLite Head Tube is compatible with all Cannondale bicycles equipped with Lefty 1.0 - Lefty 2.0 - Lefty SuperMax forks.
Extralite LeftyLite Head Tube comes in a single version compatible with all Lefty forks on the market, with a long steering tube (202 mm) and it's upper floating ring, could be adapted to every frame/fork size.
So, leftyLite Head Tube can be shortened to the wanted lenght and be used with or without spacers. Steer-tube expander isn't required, you can use it if you are going to install a standard head tube cap.
Extralite LeftyLite Head Tube is made of high module prepreg carbon fibre with 3k matte finish. Each head tube is laminated by hand with a layer arrangement calculated to achieve the best compromise weight /resistance.
The set consists of carbon tube and black anodized aluminum bushings. The lower part is glued and fixed on the head tube, the upper bushing is floating and can be removed from the tube. Aluminum bushings allows a safety fork clamping and helps to minimize baering rotation wear.
Once the tube is installed you can use spacers or cut the excess (reducing even more the weight).
With weight of 98 gr. for the full lenght (202 mm) Extralite LeftyLite Head Tube allows a big weight saving especially if matched with a lightweight stem .
For a medium size frame with a 100 mm lenght stem, the use of an Extralite LeftyLite/HyperStem combo allows to save about 145 grams from stock Cannondale setup!
