The Carbon-Ti X-Rotor Aero Center Lock is a superlight rotor with high quality aerodynamic design, made with the best materials and the best technologies to achieve the top of the weight range, performance and prestige.

Developed to meet the specific needs of UAE Team Emirates, the new X-Rotor Aero Center Lock disc brake rotor is the latest innovation for time trials and extremely high average speed stages. This product is also particularly interesting for Triathlon competitions.

The X-Rotor Aero has been designed to reduce drag and features a redesigned structural carbon body compared to the super light X-Rotor SteelCarbon 3 version and optimized in the wind tunnel to offer superior air penetration and minimize drag at high speeds.  

It is a semi-floating disc brake rotor made up of a steel braking surface, anchored to the central carbon fiber body via a series of special titanium rivets. The braking surface is made from a very high quality steel plate of the 1.8 mm thick, cut precisely by water-jet and then treated thermally and superficially to guarantee flatness, high friction and maximum durability. Since the disc brake rotor is separable, the braking surface can be replaced when worn while maintaining the spider and the rest of the hardware, in this way the X-Rotor Aero Center Lock discs brake rotor can be regenerated numerous times thus reducing management costs (replacement of the braking surface is carried out exclusively in Carbon-Ti factory).

The design of the braking surface and related lightening has been expertly studied to maximize effectiveness and braking power whilst optimizing weight, pad consumption, cooling and silent operation. The rounded edges through CNC machining increase safety and comply with UCI standards. The result is truly astonishing and places the X-Rotor Aero Center Lock at the top of the category.

The braking surface is fixed in a semi-floating manner on a central carbon fiber spider made from a high-quality carbon sheet polymerized in a high-pressure autoclave to guarantee the best possible mechanical characteristics. The sheet is first cut with the water-jet and then CNC milled to obtain the fixing holes and seats for the bushes.

The composite spider guarantees not only lower weight but also high rigidity and better thermal dissipation and aerodynamic characteristics as well as an attractive and very racing look.

The fixing between the braking surface and the spider is entrusted to special titanium bushes made from solid CNC and elegantly lasered with the Carbon-Ti logo.

The X-Rotor Aero Center Lock disc brake rotors are produced in 140 mm and 160 mm diameter, with Center Lock type attachment thanks to the special adapter made of black anodized 7075T6 aluminum machined from solid CNC. An elegant protection plate in lasered natural titanium and the specific tightening ring in black anodized 7075T6 aluminum complete the equipment. The lockring has a reduced profile and allows compatibility with 12-15-20 mm thru axles.

It is also possible to use the X-Rotor Aero Center Lock disc brake rotors on wheel hubs with 6-hole International Standard connection, the Center lock adapter is in fact removable for maximum versatility of use.

The X-Rotor Aero Center Lock disc brake rotors can be used with braking pads of any compound (whether organic, metallic, semi-metallic or sintered), for the best performance we recommend the use of organic pads.

The weight is only 93 gr. (140 mm) and 115 gr. (160 mm) including adapters (clamping ring excluded +8 grams). This often saves several grams compared to the original discs supplied as standard with the braking systems. The advantage is then double and therefore more noticeable since it concerns unsprung and rotating masses.

The X-Rotor Aero 3 Center Lock are therefore ideal for saving weight while maintaining high performance and large safety margins, improving aerodynamic efficiency and adding a personal touch of exclusivity to your bicycle. These are therefore not showcase products but real racing components, widely tested and successfully tested on racing fields all over the world.
