With weights starting from just 299 grams (170 mm cranks, chainring not included) the THM-Carbones Clavicula XC are some of the lightest cranks for MTB use in the world (for XC, XCO, Marthon, All Mountain, Trail, Enduro use)! This record is not an end in itself but the natural consequence of a careful design and use of the best materials and technologies on the market. THM products such as the Clavicula SE cranks in the road racing sector are now a must on the market. These are top-of-the-range products made in Germany, characterized by high performance (stiffness/weight ratio at the top of the category) and great reliability with a stunning total quality.
The Clavicula XC cranks are made entirely of high modulus carbon fiber, the right crank arm forms a single monolithic block with the axle (oversize diameter 30 mm) and with the spider on which the chainrings are mounted (BCD 104 mm 4 arms) . The only aluminum parts are the threaded bushes on which the pedals are screwed, the axle guards in correspondence with the bottom bracket bearings, the lateral locking ring which also acts as a bearing side-play adjustment and the threaded nuts on which the fixing bolts are screwed to tightening of the left crank arm; the bolts are made of grade 5 titanium.
The Clavicula XC cranks are made in 3 different lengths (170 mm - 172.5 mm - 175 mm), the Q factor is 168 mm (the internal distance of the cranks is equal to 138 mm), while the chain line is equal to 52 mm (optimized for the Boost standard). The finish of the cranks is matte type with the visible texture of the natural 3k twill carbon fiber. The graphics are decals placed under a layer of protective transparent varnish.
The Clavicula XC cranks are equipped with an integrated 4-arm spider on which 4-hole chainrings with BCD 104 mm with at least 32 teeth can be mounted. The chainrings are not included with the cranks and must be purchased separately.
The Clavicula XC cranks are compatible with various bottom bracket standards such as the BSA, BB30, PF30, BBright or PressFit Shimano. THM itself produces several specific bottom brackets for the Clavicula XC cranks and compatible with the various BB standards (if you are interested and you cannot find them on our shop, please ask us for information and we will guide you to purchase). The bottom bracket is not included with the cranks and must be purchased separately, if you don't already own one.
The maximum weight allowed is 110 kg (rider + bicycle + clothing, accessories and any luggage).
