With only 16.2 gr. weight per pair, the Extralite UltraPulley 14-16 PH are among the lightest and most refined jockey wheels on the market. They are made from solid through precise CNC milling in Delrin, a very tenacious self-lubricating technopolymer capable of guaranteeing noiselessness and high smoothness combined with a significantly longer life than the original jockey wheels which are generally made of softer molded plastic material and less durable.
The double sealed 2RS ceramic micro-bearings with low rolling resistance contribute to increasing smoothness and durability, each jockey wheel is in fact equipped with two bearings instead of just one classic bearing and to increase protection from dirt and external agents each jockey wheel is equipped double dust cover made from full CNC aluminum 7075T6 and black anodized with laser engraved graphics.
Jockey wheels made in this way guarantee significantly higher performance than both standard and other aftermarket aluminum ones which are much noisier, less sliding and with a tendency to lose the anodized surface coloring.
The double bearings of smaller dimensions while guaranteeing the same load, allow greater smoothness thanks to the lower inertia of the smaller balls and have less lateral play with consequent greater shifting precision.
The incredible weight of only 16.2 grams, the pair also allows you to save several grams compared to the standard jockey wheels (XX SL stock jockey wheels weighs 32 grams). The weight saving is therefore already considerable at an absolute level and even more remarkable in percentage terms.
All this has been achieved not at the expense of safety or reliability and functionality which, as mentioned, are also at levels higher than the standard but thanks to a design optimized down to the smallest details and a careful choice of materials used and processing technologies.
It is therefore not a beautiful product to look at but unusable, on the contrary the UltraPulley 14-16 PH have now been used successfully for years also in the competitive field even in the practice of MTB where the conditions of use are the heaviest existing. We continuously receive positive feedback from customers who have also used them for several thousand km (even 15,000-20,000 km off-road) without noticing a noticeable decline in performance.

The Extralite UltraPulley 14-16 PH have differentiated design between lower jockey wheel (16 teeth) and upper jockey wheel (14 teeth). The teeth are phased (narrow-wide tooth), therefore they are ideal for use on Sram MTB 12s single chainring systems and in particular those of the Eagle AXS T-Type series (XX SL, XX, XO, XX E-MTB, XO E-MTB), as they guarantee better chain retention. They works perfectly with 12s chains (Sram FlatTop or similar excluded), if you use Sram FlatTop chains or similar you should prefer UltraPulley 14-16 PHB model.
For a perfect fitting a little longer fixing bolts are required, something like : 1x M5x14 mm + 1x M5x15.5 mm. For example Extralite ExtraBolt 12.2B+12.2C or Carbon-Ti X-Jockey 14-16.
