With only 290 grams (tolerance +/- 1%) the PORTE (ex BERG) Rathe 30 XC SL 290 gr. are among the lightest 29" clincher rims currently on the market.
They are characterized by an external width of 35 mm and an internal channel of 30 mm with a profile height of 21 mm. The geometry with a lowered section allows to obtain rims with excellent lateral stiffness and high capacity to dampen impacts and vibrations, therefore greater resistance and better comfort.
The rim profile is asymmetrical with a 2 mm offset. The asymmetry allows a better balance of the spoke tension on both sides of the wheel to guarantee greater stability and longevity of performance (less stressed spokes and wheels that maintain tension and centering for longer).
Side walls are Hookless type, and make Rathe rims compatible with 29" Tubeless or Tubeless Ready tires (with tubeless conversion systems with sealants).
The Rathe 30 XC SL rims are available with 28h drilling with matte Unidirectional UD carbon weave and glossy black graphics under clear coat, a very nice look, elegant and racing at the same time.
The Rathe 30 XC SL rims are made with monolithic construction using entirely high quality carbon fiber. The generous section also guarantees great lateral stiffness and greater air volume which allows you to ride at lower operating pressures with consequent better performance (better grip and traction, greater comfort and less risk of punctures). The width of the channel allows the use of tires with section from 2.2" to 2.7" (52-69 mm). The maximum allowable pressure is 4 bar (60 PSI), while the minimum is 25-40 PSI. The maximum allowable tension for the spokes is 1100N. The maximum weight allowed for the biker is 100 kg.
PORTE rims are covered by a regular 2-year warranty plus a 3-year Crash Replacement policy which includes a replacement rim at a special discounted price (-40%) in case of accidental breakage. Warranty and Crash replacement are applicable to the first owner only. PORTE (ex BERG) is a Belgian company formed by a young and dynamic team of enthusiasts, riders, engineers and designers. The company's goal is to create products dedicated to XC, XCO and Olympic Marathon use, which are highly performing, light and reliable at the best possible price with a modern and attractive look. The production process first involves the design and simulation on the computer, the prototypes are then made and tested and analyzed by both the racers and the engineers, the final step is the regulatory tests performed in Germany by EFBE following the most severe procedures. The tests are repeated over time at periodic intervals of 3 months to ensure adequate quality control.
PORTE (ex BERG) products are having a great success on the market, beyond the rosiest expectations and this has created for some products quite long waiting times, so everything that we actually have available in stock ready for delivery is marked as "IN STOCK" (just select the desired version and verify). All the other combinations have the words "TO ORDER" and consequently must be ordered specifically with very variable waiting times (they can be available for immediate delivery in the central warehouse in Belgium or in the production phase with more or less long waiting times) , we therefore always recommend contacting us so that we can check the timing with the manufacturer.
The products to be ordered (those not available for immediate delivery in our warehouse) are to be considered made and procured to order and as such fall outside the canonical right of withdrawal for remote sales and require full advance payment. The cash on delivery method is therefore excluded for these products.
