Tube seatpost has got a simple and useful design, it's made of high quality materials, worked up with professionalism, passion and attention to details, as the best Italian craftsmanship tradition. Nice 3K Twill or Unidirectional (UD) finishing, coupled with fine CNC aluminium machined parts, contribute at the racing and elegant look.
Main tube is made of T800 high quality carbon fiber, molded through high pressure and temperature autoclave technology; it's a mix of unidirectional and bidirectional fibers layered to obtain the best stiffness/weight ratio possible. The use of best materials and technologies with the great manufacturer experience allows a perfect compaction and a great resistance. The clamping zone is wide (about 15 cm) with minimal differences in tube thickness, this help the seatpost job so the result is a structure that works in harmonious way without weakness with a great reliability.
The seatpost design is unique in the bicycle market and is very smart because allows a simple saddle fixing and regulation and a great reliability/safety. Seatpost yokes are fixed with two opposed bolts which works on a central pivot as in most of vertical light seatposts. This kind of fixing system distributes the load over a larger surface avoiding load concentration points with no bolts that works directly on the carbon fiber. You can easily adjust the saddle angle with an hex wrench, and also the front bolt is very easy to access. The tube head is closed and this allows a better seatpost cradle seating with a greater contact surface and avoid dirt infiltration. This tube is a little technology masterpiece!
The minimum seatpost tube insertion is about 10 cm, the lower end of the tube is angled cutted to optimize the weight.
Main tube could be made with the final layer in 3k Twill or UD Unidirectional fabric, with matte or glossy finishing both. The tube is unpainted, there's a finishing made with a strong resin very difficult to damage. Graphics are sticker type, they are made of 3M high quality vinyl in many colors (please specify which color do you prefer through order notes or by e-mail) and can be easily removed and replaced.
Also the seatpost cradle is made of T800 high quality carbon fiber, has got a simple but efficient design, compatible with round or oval shaped saddle rails both. Thanks to the wide and smooth supporting surface without sharp edges, the seatpost cradle is perfectly compatible also with carbon fiber rails saddles.
Central pivot and clamping yokes are made of 7075T6 aluminium CNC machined. The clamping yokes has got an elegant and efficient design with GC (GrigioCarbonio) milled logo. The black anodized finishing add a touch of racing look and assure a long lasting without any weight add.
Fixing bolts are high quality too and CNC machined grade 5 titanium made, with conical forged head (hex wrench insert) and rolled threads for a superior resistance and reliability. The front bolt is a M5 x 30 mm , the rear one is a M5 x 35 mm, both has got black anodized titanium finishing. Two bolts clamping system allows a simple saddle tuning with millimetric precision.
With weights starting from 105 grams (about 125 grams in 27.2 x 350 mm size), Tube AR25 T800 is one of the lightest setback seatposts on the market. The weight tolerance is +/- 5% and is caused by the pre-preg carbon fiber resin effective percentage.
Mono-coque technology with the use of high module carbon fibers and reinforcements (where the maximum stresses are located), allows to obtain a very strong seatpost with a great stiffness but also a big comfort. Tube seatpost is extremely safe and reliable, is UNI EN 14766/2006 certified and easily exceed safety tests. Not only lab tests but also race test...there are many riders which use GrigioCarbonio components for competitions, not only for XC but also for heavy duty use riding like Super Enduro.
Many tests at the factory allowed to build an incredibly strong seatpost that can withstand up to 200 kg! Much more than any other competitor! Tube seatpost is compatible with road and off-road use both (Road racing, track, triathlon, gravel, cross and MTB).
